Artist & Creative Retreat

The Lang de Moun Mon (LDMM) Artist and Creatives Retreat program is a newly established multi-disciplinary, self-directed residency that provides creative individuals a designated time and space to work, play, and pray in the imagination space.

Our mission is to establish an empowering and Artist andCreatives Retreat that centers and celebrates creatives andspiritual workers of color. We provide a transformative platformand space for artistic exploration, cultural preservation, andspiritual growth. With a focus on the Global South, we aim tonurture local talent, amplify marginalized voices, and fostersustainable development within our communities.

Application Process

Applications are accepted in three distinct categories:

  • The residency program supports the development and presentation of creative works representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices.

  • The program also provides opportunities for writers, researchers, scholars, critics, and cultural theorists to publish texts or produce projects in various fields, specifically as they relate to any of our guiding principles.

  • The program offers an environment to cultivate spiritual.

  • Our artists and creatives retreat residency program is open to artists, creatives, researchers, holistic practitioners, and energy workers. The fee structure for this program is as follows:

    The daily fee for participating in the residency program is set at R400 per day. This fee covers access to our tranquil and private venue, which offers a sanctuary for relaxation, artistic inspiration, and holistic healing. It includes amenities such as a workspace, accommodation, daily complimentary continental breakfast, and access to holistic services at an additional cost.

    LDMM’s designated artist residency room which will have a microwave and bar fridge. We will provide light breakfast for the duration of stay (tea/coffee, fruit, yoghurt, muesli, breakfast bars, etc.). For lunch/dinner needs, residents may pre-order for the week/day from our bar bites menu of the restaurant upon arrival for desired meals. Alternatively, residents can order take-out or do groceries. Residents won't be permitted in the kitchen as it becomes a liability issue under our insurances. However, there will be service staff on-siteor a phone call away should he need anything.
